How we look after your details

What we ask for

Your name, a phone number or email address, your postcode or address, and what you tell us about your project. We also keep which page or campaign you came from, so we know what is working. We don't ask for anything else, and we don't use cookies to follow you around.

Why we use it

To reply to your enquiry, arrange your free survey or call back, give you a quote, and carry out the work if you go ahead. That is the only reason we ask. It is not used for marketing, and we don't add you to any mailing list. If we ever want to send you news or offers, we will ask you separately and you can say no.

Yearly service reminders

If we install a stove for you, you can tick a box on your sign-off sheet to ask for a reminder when it is due its yearly service. If you tick it, we will email you about a year later, and our team is told at the same moment so we can offer you a visit. We use your name, email address and the date of the work for this and nothing else. It is not marketing. If you don't tick the box, we won't send you a reminder. You can stop them at any time: use the link in the email, reply STOP, or contact us, and we won't send another.

Who sees it

The people at Fife Stoves who deal with enquiries and jobs, and the services we use to run the business: our website host and form service (Netlify) and the job-management system we use to keep track of enquiries and surveys. They handle your details for us and only for that. We never sell them.

How long we keep it

While your enquiry is open and, if you become a customer, for as long as we need the job records for guarantees, safety and tax. If an enquiry doesn't go anywhere, we delete it within 12 months. You can ask us to delete it sooner. A service reminder is kept only as long as the job record it belongs to, and is deleted with it.

Your rights

You can ask to see the details we hold about you, correct them, or have them deleted, and you can object to how we use them. Email hello@fifestoves.com or call 01592 652795. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
