Local considerations

Three of Fife's 14 smoke control areas are in Dunfermline, so in those streets wood can only be burned legally in a DEFRA exempt appliance. The historic centre is also a conservation area, and there a new external flue on the front of a building needs planning permission rather than going ahead as permitted development. We confirm both before we quote.
